Founder and Executive Director
Sangeeta J.K. is the dedicated founder and Executive Director of KIRAN Society, a non-profit Organization in Varanasi, India, focused on empowering children and young people with disabilities. She is from Switzerland, she arrived in India in 1972, initially serving leprosy patients. Moved by the lack of care for the disabled, she established KIRAN Society in 1990. Under her leadership, KIRAN Society has grown from a small outreach service to a comprehensive village providing education, rehabilitation, and vocational training, transforming countless lives in Varanasi village’s and surrounding districts. Her tireless efforts have earned KIRAN numerous awards, recognizing its profound impact.
