Diploma, Special Education in Cerebral Palsy, D. Ed. SE(CP):
Our nation is presently facing a great challenge to rehabilitate approximately 30 million of the population with special needs and different abilities. Apart from the capacity building of our staff and professionals in the disability field, KIRAN offers a pre-graduate level diploma course in special education in cerebral palsy, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi. The course is a two year program where students take the necessary courses to qualify them as a special educator, specializing in cerebral palsy.
This course is designed to train people who are committed to work with children having neurological disabilities. The course structure provides a comprehensive understanding of the varied needs of children with neurological disabilities and how to satisfy those needs in a special school or regular classroom environment.
There are very few courses in the country to train people to educate children with neurological disabilities, especially cerebral palsy. This course has been designed to satisfy this growing need in the country. The placement opportunities after successful completion of our course can be in the governmental or non-governmental sectors working in the field of special education or the field of inclusive education or in the Government of India Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan program focusing on the universalization of elementary education.
